We support all AWS data centers and all servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the cloud. You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles to deliver the highest standards for safety, security, and capacity at the lowest possible cost.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking Logistics Specialists as part of its Work Based Learning Program (WBLP). Successful candidates will work a 12‑month training program at our Oregon facilities.

Key Physical Requirements and Work Conditions
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
  • Work in an environment that operates 24/7, with primary responder rotation and after‑hours support as needed.
  • Perform tasks in cramped, elevated, or noisy environments, including bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, standing, and walking for up to 8+ hours a day.
  • Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.
Key Job Responsibilities
  • Data entry and resolve questions from peer organizations.
  • Ensure all billing associated with the inventory supply chain is accurate, validated, and ready for processing.
  • Assemble, address, stamp and arrange shipment of merchandise and materials.
  • Assist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick‑ups to and from production locations.
  • Keep precise records of all commodities going in and out of the company.
A Day in the Life

The Logistics Specialist reviews data center inventory, inbound shipments, and ongoing demand to maintain proper stock levels across all locations. Working with the Logistics Manager, you will plan the flow of parts through their lifecycle, track inventory location and movement, and coordinate with Data Center Operations Technicians and Engineers to fulfill parts quickly and accurately. You will also collaborate with Procurement and Hardware Engineering to purchase new parts and interface directly with vendors to process RMAs and replacements. Regular communication with vendors to resolve issues and convey business requirements is essential.

Logistics Specialists are expected to understand all aspects of production, adhere to strict safety standards, maintain high quality, and be willing to work on powered equipment such as forklifts or cherry pickers. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team, prioritize tasks, and react quickly. Shift work will include days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Travel within the regional work area is required, and reliable personal transportation is necessary.

Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Age 18 or older.
  • Willingness to participate in shift rotations to support 24/7 data center operations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of computer hardware components and operating systems.
  • Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system and coordinating with a manager.
  • STEM classes or vocational course curriculum education.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles and demonstrates the required functional/technical depth for this role.
Compensation and Benefits
