Texas A&M University System is seeking an Web Applications Developer II to support WordPress-based and full-stack web projects across the organization. The role involves building custom plugins, themes, blocks, and integrations, while ensuring accessibility and robust testing across platforms.

Ideal candidates will have a CS/IT background, four years of related experience, and a strong grasp of PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or closely related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Four years of related experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders.
• Experience with WordPress themes, plugins, blocks, and Full Site Editing is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Troubleshoots and resolves complex WordPress issues, including theme/plugin conflicts, block editor, and performance problems.
• Develops complex WordPress websites, themes, block themes, plugins, and web applications per requirements.
• Collaborates with project leaders, designers, and content managers throughout development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Writes PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 code following WordPress coding standards and development guidelines.
