Sundance Mountain Resort is seeking a Wood Working Instructor for its Art Studios and Gallery department. This part-time year-round position requires the instructor to provide expert guidance in woodworking techniques, such as wood turning and finishing, while creating transformational experiences for guests.
Candidates should have strong technical woodworking skills, prior teaching experience is beneficial, and must effectively communicate instructions.
Job Title: Wood Working Instructor
Department: Art Studios and Gallery
Rate of Pay: $75 for first student in class, additional $50 for second student, $25 for each subsequent student, plus gratuity at guests' discretion. $16.50 per hour for non-class related work.
Shift: Part-Time, Year Round Position
Variable days and shifts depending on scheduled classes
Instructors must report to work 30 minutes prior to each class and remain 30 minutes afterwards to clean up.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary:
Provide instruction in wood working techniques in, but not limited to, wood turning, sanding, and finishing of simple wood projects such as wood pens.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
