The Wood Shop Technician works as an in-house carpenter who prepares custom crating and storage solutions for aircraft parts.
The ideal candidate for this role will have excellent attention to detail, good knowledge of basic hand and power tools, and a solid foundation of basic construction techniques (the highest volume item coming out of the shop is sturdy boxes we use to ship aircraft parts that need extra protection in the shipping process).
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have a service-oriented mindset, be ready to contribute to top-notch housekeeping in the shop and be conservative with material usage (we don’t love wasted product).

While performing the responsibilities of the Wood Shop Technician, you will be standing the majority of your workday. More than 75% of the job duties require the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, climb, or balance, stoop, lift, kneel, utilize hand and power tools, grasp, push, pull, crouch, and crawl. At times, heavy lifting may be required (up to 75 lbs.), as such, appropriate lifting techniques and team assist must be utilized.
