This full-time role focuses on constructing and installing structural components on large-scale projects from the ground up. Responsibilities include layout and framing, drywall prep, form work, and coordinating with superintendents and trades. Candidates should have carpentry/framing experience, read drawings, and be able to perform physically demanding work.

Qualifications

• Ability to read construction drawings and layout information.
• Familiarity with commercial construction practices and safety expectations.
• OSHA training preferred but not required.

• Layout and assemble framing systems for commercial buildings.
• Install wall systems, backing, blocking, and related structural components.
• Participate in drywall installation and preparation activities.

• Complete finish work including doors, trim, hardware, and interior elements.
• Review plans and measurements to ensure accurate installation.
• Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, and trades to maintain progress.
• Operate tools safely and maintain site housekeeping.

Leonard S. Fiore, Inc. is looking for motivated construction professionals to join our commercial building team in Claysburg, PA. This position is ideal for individuals with framing and general carpentry experience who enjoy hands‑on work and contributing to large‑scale construction projects from the ground up.

What You'll Do

As a Wood Framer, you'll help construct and install structural and interior building components on commercial job sites. Daily responsibilities may vary depending on project needs and construction phase.

Primary Duties

• Layout and assemble framing systems for commercial buildings.
• Install wall systems, backing, blocking, and related structural components.
• Participate in drywall installation and preparation activities.
• Build, set, and dismantle temporary concrete forms for foundations and vertical structures.
• Complete detailed finish work including doors, trim packages, hardware, and interior finishing elements.
• Review construction plans and measurements to ensure accurate installation of materials.
• Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, and other skilled trades to maintain project progress.
• Operate construction tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Help maintain compliance with safety regulations and site‑specific requirements.
• Contribute to housekeeping efforts and maintain organized work areas.

Desired Qualifications

• Previous experience in carpentry, framing, drywall, construction, or related skilled trades.
• Ability to understand construction drawings and layout information.
• Familiarity with commercial construction practices and jobsite safety expectations.
• OSHA training preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting materials, climbing, kneeling, and working on active jobsites.
