Job summary

Unified Women’s Healthcare is seeking a part-time Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Gilbert, AZ. The role supports a 3 Physicians, 1 PA, and 3 NPs in a 100% women’s health practice focusing on OB and GYN.

See a diverse patient population with outpatient care and no on-call requirements. Responsibilities include exams, treatments, prescribing medications, prenatal/postnatal care, family planning, and close collaboration with physicians to provide high-quality patient

Qualifications

• NP/PA certification required or ability to obtain.
• Active Arizona licensure or ability to obtain.
• Current, unrestricted DEA license or ability to obtain.
• CPR, BLS, and NALS certifications or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient exams, screenings, treatments, and record health history.
• Prescribe medications and therapies; order/interpret diagnostics.
• Provide pre- and post-natal care, family planning, and counseling.
• Collaborate with physicians to deliver patient care.

Position Highlights

• Part time opportunity working 3 days/week (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday).
• 100% Women’s Health Practice seeing both obstetrical and gynecology patients
• Scope of practice includes:
  • Perform patient exams, screenings, treatments, and record patient health history
  • Prescribe medications, therapies; order/perform and interpret diagnostic testing and procedures
  • Provide pre and post-natal care, family planning services, and patient education and counseling
  • Assist and work closely with physicians to provide patient care
• Outpatient only opportunity with no call responsibilities

Requirements

• National Nurse Practitioner certification or ability to obtain
• Unrestricted, active Arizona licensure or ability to obtain
• Current Unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain
• CPR, BLS, and NALS Certification or ability to obtain
• Proficient in assessment and development of treatment plans
• Ability to communicate with patients, team members and management staff
• Ability to make care decisions based on the best medical practices without direct supervision or guidance by a physician
