Central Michigan University seeks a Director of Basketball Operations for the women’s program. The role oversees day‑to‑day administrative operations, team travel, meals, scheduling, budget support, and the student manager program so the head coach and staff can focus on instruction and development.

The position works closely with athletics administration, compliance, facilities, sports medicine, academic services, and campus partners to deliver a well‑organized, compliant, and student‑athlete

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least one year of collegiate basketball operations experience.
• Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and travel procedures.
• Willingness to travel with the team and work evenings/weekends/holidays.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

Responsabilités

• Plans and coordinates all team travel, including transportation, lodging, meals, itineraries and rosters.
• Serves as primary contact with host institutions, hotels, charter and bus companies, and restaurants for road contests.
• Coordinates logistics for home games in coordination with event management.
• Coordinates logistics for postseason play and foreign tours as applicable.
• Coordinates team meals and travel meals in alignment with NCAA rules.
• Maintains program calendar with practices, competitions, travel, and events.
• Assists with budget development and monitoring for the program.
• Recruits, hires, trains, and supervises student employees.
• Manages community service and outreach initiatives and alumni coordination.
• Ensures compliance with NCAA/MAC rules and university policies.
