The coach will emphasize skill development, teamwork, and accountability while complying with all regulations. Availability for after-school practices, occasional weekend games, and travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Previous basketball coaching or playing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basketball rules, techniques, and game strategies.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively mentor high school/early college student-athletes.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Must meet all district and state coaching requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise practices, games, and team activities.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive basketball program aligned with the school’s mission.
• Instruct student-athletes in basketball skills, tactics, and conditioning.
• Promote academic success and monitor eligibility of all players.
• Foster leadership, discipline, respect, and teamwork; create an inclusive team environment.
• Design practice plans and seasonal schedules; prepare the team through scouting and game strategy.
