Job summary

Schwan's is seeking a full-time production associate for its food manufacturing environment. The role involves unpacking raw materials, mixing ingredients, assembling products, and packaging finished goods while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

You will monitor for quality issues and document waste, escalating as needed. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent) and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work rotating shifts,

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk on concrete floors for extended periods.
• Strong manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

• Unpack raw materials, mix ingredients, assemble products, and package finished goods.
• Ensure products meet company and government quality standards.
• Inspect products and document waste as directed; dispose or fix as needed.
• Notify supervisor of quality issues, ingredient problems, and equipment breakdowns.
• Comply with USDA, OSHA, state/federal regulations and GMP/safety procedures.

Starting Pay: $17.25 per hour
Additional $1.50 shift differential from 6 p.m. -- 6 a.m.
Shift: 2nd
Hours: 4:15PM - 1:45PM

What You Will Do:

• Unpack raw materials, mix ingredients, assemble products, and package finished goods.
• Ensure that all products (from raw materials to finished products) meet company and government quality standards.
• Inspect products; throwing out or fixing products as necessary; writing down amount of waste as directed.
• Notify supervisor of quality issues, ingredient/material problems and/or equipment breakdowns.
• Perform all duties in compliance with existing USDA, OSHA, State, Federal, and company regulations, policies, and procedures (including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and safety regulations).

What We Look For:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 0 to 1 years of experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods on concrete floors.
• Strong manual dexterity; capable of performing repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions.
• Be adaptable to rotating schedules, including weekends and overtime as needed.
