Rocky Mountain Industrial Controls is seeking a detail-oriented Wiring & Panel Assembly Technician for our 1st shift in Loveland, CO. You will build and wire industrial control panels from technical drawings, ensuring every connection meets our quality and safety standards.

This role offers hands-on wiring experience, a pathway for growth, and steady day-shift hours. We provide training opportunities for the right candidate with strong fundamentals.

Qualifications

• Hands-on wiring experience preferred.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail with zero tolerance for shortcuts.
• Comfortable using hand tools (wire strippers, crimpers, screwdrivers).

Responsibilities

• Wire industrial control panels per electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings.
• Install components like terminal blocks, relays, breakers, and wire harnesses.
• Test panels for proper function and troubleshoot wiring issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Communicate status and quality concerns to team leads.

What You'll Do

• Wire industrial control panels according to electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings
• Install components such as terminal blocks, relays, breakers, and wire harnesses
• Test completed panels for proper function and troubleshoot wiring issues
• Apply basic mechanical and electrical principles to ensure correct assembly
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Communicate with team leads on project status and any quality concerns

What We're Looking For

• Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for precise wiring work
• Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
• A solid grasp of basic mechanical and electrical principles
• Comfortable using hand tools (wire strippers, crimpers, screwdrivers, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail — this work has zero room for shortcuts
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• High school diploma or GED preferred; technical/vocational training a plus
• Experience wiring control panels or similar electrical/mechanical assembly preferred, but not required — we're happy to train the right person with strong fundamentals (e.g., backgrounds in automotive, HVAC, electronics, or hands-on trades all translate well)
