Job summary

Bell in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Wiring Integration Engineer to design and integrate aircraft wiring architectures, diagrams and schematics, ensuring interfaces across systems and databus power needs align with certification requirements.

The role requires 2+ years in aerospace wiring design, collaboration across teams, and the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance, with opportunities to work on advanced helicopter programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology is required.
  • Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience.
  • 2+ years of aerospace wiring design experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop aircraft wiring architecture, diagrams and schematics using CHS toolset.
  • Release wiring documentation in coordination with systems and wire routing engineers.
  • Support wiring supplier management, installation, testing and qualification activities.
  • Develop architecture for conventional wiring, data bus cables, junction boxes and panel assemblies.
  • Collaborate with product teams to define system requirements, architecture and interfaces for aircraft wiring systems.
  • Assist with supplier management, installation, testing and certification activities.

The Bell AH-1Z Viper and UH-1Y Venom make up the US Marine Corps’ Light Attack Helicopter fleet, providing a vast array of mission critical capabilities to Marines and their allies. What you’ll be doing as a Wiring Data Engineer
  • Develop aircraft wiring architecture, diagrams and schematics using Mentor Graphics Capital Harness Systems (CHS) toolset.
  • Release wiring documentation in coordination with aircraft systems engineers and wire routing and installation design engineers
  • Support wiring supplier management, aircraft build installation, aircraft testing and operations, and aircraft/system qualification and certification.
  • Develop the aircraft wiring architecture inclusive of conventional wiring, data bus cable assemblies (power, coax, fiber optic), junction boxes and panel assemblies.
  • Work across product teams to develop system requirements, architecture, and interfaces for the aircraft wiring systems to integrate aircraft systems and manage databus and power requirements
  • Support wiring supplier management, aircraft build installation, aircraft testing and operations, as well aircraft/system qualification and certification
Skills You Bring To this Role
  • Experience creating, reviewing, and releasing wiring diagrams using wiring design toolsets, such as Siemens Capital
  • Familiarity with military certification and industry standards and multiple data protocols.
  • Knowledge of multiple aircraft electrical interface types to include analog signals, RF, and serial data
  • Experience creating system architecture diagrams and wiring schematics.
  • Experience with creation of system specifications, requirements traceability, and verification. Preferred experience with Enovia, DOORS, and Serena Dimensions.
  • Experience with system development, aircraft installation, functional testing and troubleshooting, and testing in a systems integration lab.
  • Ability to collaborate across functional teams, prioritize work, and build and maintain effective relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
What you need to be successful

Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology (or closely related field) is required.

Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience.
