Job summary

The Wireline Group is seeking a Pressure Control Operator to perform wireline pressure control services and shop duties as directed by supervision.

Responsibilities include pre-job prep, vehicle inspections, rigging equipment, and maintaining DOT records, while delivering safe service and customer satisfaction at well sites and in the shop.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • CDL Class A or B or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass a Federal background check.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Good communication with customers and employees.
  • Must be reachable 24 hours a day when on call and report within 30 minutes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-job preparation and load outs.
  • Inspect vehicles and equipment before and after jobs and complete reports.
  • Rig up and rig down equipment at well site.
  • Assemble pressure control equipment and follow repair/testing schedules.
  • Maintain DOT records as required by FMCSA.
  • Complete job-related paperwork for self and crew.
  • Promote good customer relations.

As a Pressure Control Operator, you will be asked to properly and efficiently perform all wireline pressure control services and shop duties as directed by senior and supervisory personnel.

Responsibilities
  • Pre-job preparation and load outs
  • Pre and Post job vehicle and equipment inspections and associated paperwork and/or reports
  • Rigging-up and rigging-down equipment at the well site
  • Assembling pressure control equipment and following all repair, rebuilding, and testing schedules as needed.
  • Maintaining DOT records and communications as required by FMCSA
  • Completing job-related paperwork and other records for self and assigned crew
  • Promoting and maintaining good customer relations
  • Receiving instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on well site activity
  • Performing basic duties at the well site and at the shop
  • Driving company vehicles in a safe manner while observing Company and government regulations
  • May supervise and train other Pressure Control Operators while maintaining a high level of safety awareness at the well site
  • Performing other related duties as required
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Class A or B CDL or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment
  • Hold a clean driving record and the ability to pass a Federal background check
  • Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required.
  • Basic computer skills are preferred
  • Promotes safety awareness and ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work and communicate well with customers and employees
  • Must be reachable via telephone 24 hours a day when in an “on call” status. Must report to work within 30 minutes of notification and work at well sites for extended periods of time
