Job summary

Ranger Energy Services is seeking a Wireline Engineer II to lead safety-conscious wireline operations at field sites in Colorado. You will supervise crews, calibrate surface equipment and downhole tools, and ensure accurate reporting and data delivery for clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Geoscience preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience supervising wireline well site operations.
• Must pass ATF background check.
• CDL with Hazardous Materials endorsement required.
• Basic MS Office skills.
• Knowledge of Warrior operating system.
• Strong English reading/writing/speaking.
• Know-how in wireline tech and data acquisition systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare well site operations ensuring safety compliance.

• Submit accurate billing data and data delivery documents.
• Operate company vehicles per policies and regulations.
• Supervise equipment logistics and DOT log accuracy.
• Support HSE and quality improvement initiatives.
• Train and periodically evaluate crew competency.
• Perform other related or site-specific duties.

Wireline Engineer II

SUMMARY

The Wireline Engineer II is responsible for the safety and quality of operations by applying and adhering to process and safety procedures for the wireline equipment, tools and personnel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Planning and preparation for well site operations ensuring compliance with all safety regulations
• Supervise and conduct well site operations in accordance with client criteria and policies
• Supervise and assist crew with calibration and preparation of surface equipment and down hole tools
• Maintain knowledge and understanding of current standards and operating procedures and practices to optimize efficiencies
• Responsible for maintaining customer relationships through quality services, confident execution and establishing positive image
• Responsible for direct communication with client representatives for wellsite operations including preparation, execution and data archiving
• Responsible for providing detailed information for all reporting, including but not limited to incidents and non-productive time
• Complete and submit accurate documents for well site operations for billing and data delivery per customer requirements
• Operate company vehicles in accordance with Company policies and government regulations
• Responsible to supervise logistics of equipment to ensure safe compliant driving habits and applicable regulations inclusive of accurate DOT logs
• Actively participate and support continuous improvement of HSE and Quality initiatives
• Responsible for assigned crew training competency and periodic performance reviews
• Perform other related or site specific duties as required

REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Geoscience from an accredited college or University Preferred
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience supervising wireline well site operations
• Must be able to pass comprehensive ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms) background check
• Ability to possess and maintain valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazardous Material Endorsement
• Basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
• Working knowledge of Warrior operating system
• Ability to read, write and speak and understand English
• Intimate knowledge of wireline technologies including pressure control, perforating components, data acquisition systems and troubleshooting techniques
• Knowledgeable in incident investigation and reporting
• Highly motivated and able to work independently
• Strong oral and written communication skills

COMPUTER

• Basic knowledge of MS Office preferred
