Join our Wireless Communications Section as a wireless systems specialist in Klamath Falls! In this role, you will construct, install, maintain and repair diverse wireless two-way radio and microwave network systems for your assigned service area. You will support and coordinate the communication systems for customers including our agency, Oregon State Police, the Fire Marshall’s office and more. This role is similar to radio technician, electronics technician, communications technician, radio service, tower technician, telecommunications specialist, broadcast technologist, radio frequency (RF) signalman, power systems control craftsman and land mobile radio service positions.

Four (4) years of information systems experience in wireless systems (such as two-way radio, microwave, etc.).
OR
An associate's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field; AND two (2) years of information systems experience in wireless systems (such as two-way radio, microwave, etc.).
OR
A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field may substitute for all of the above.
Driving is an essential function of this position. You must have a valid US driver license and an acceptable driving record. We will conduct pre-employment driving records checks on our final candidate(s). Your license does not have to be issued in Oregon to be considered.
This position requires a maximum 60 minute response time to 2557 Altamont Drive, Klamath Falls, OR 97603 for emergency call-outs.
