Job summary

The Drexel Wireless Systems Laboratory (DWSL) in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering seeks a highly motivated Research Associate to provide day-to-day technical leadership and advance the lab’s research, education, and outreach.

The role suits an independent, collaborative researcher who enjoys developing new directions, building experimental systems, mentoring students, and fostering interdisciplinary partnerships.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in EE/CE/CS or closely related field.
• 1–2 years of experience.
• Demonstrated research in wireless communications or related discipline.
• Strong programming in Python and MATLAB/C++.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor undergraduate or graduate student researchers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent and collaborative research within the laboratory's themes.
• Lead projects from concept through experimentation, analysis, and dissemination.
• Design, develop, evaluate, and integrate hardware and software platforms for wireless research.
• Guide undergraduate and graduate researchers and develop onboarding materials.
• Contribute to peer-reviewed publications, conference papers, and proposals.
• Represent the laboratory through demonstrations and outreach with partners.
