Job summary

Seattle University is seeking a Network Engineer with 4+ years of enterprise Wi‑Fi experience and strong Juniper Mist/Cisco IOS skills to support two campuses. You will manage 1,700+ APs, guest networks, Mist Edge controllers, and a hybrid wired/wireless environment, ensuring reliability and performance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in IT or related field, or equivalent experience, and a collaborative, service‑oriented mindset.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience.
4+ years supporting enterprise Wi‑Fi environments with 200+ access points.
2+ years supporting LAN environments with 100+ managed switches including troubleshooting, software upgrades, and hardware support.
Demonstrated experience with Juniper Mist wireless and switching; Cisco IOS switching.
Proficient in Windows and macOS troubleshooting across desktop/mobile devices.

Responsibilities

Own the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of enterprise Wi-Fi services across two campuses (1,700+ APs, guest networks, Mist Edge controllers).
Administer and enhance wired network infrastructure including Juniper and Cisco switching.
Diagnose and resolve complex wired/wireless connectivity issues across devices.
Manage core network services: RADIUS, DNS, DHCP, IPAM; monitor, alert, and configure networks.
