Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Wireless Firmware Engineer (Starlink Mobile) to design and implement PHY/MAC layers for satellite-based 4G/5G and develop high-performance signal processing on constrained CPUs.

The role involves modeling, simulation, debugging, and close collaboration with wireless systems and protocol firmware teams to accelerate wireless PHY development and solve interdisciplinary challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/EE or STEM field.
• 1+ years of experience in wireless signal processing or related areas.
• 1+ years of C/C++ coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement PHY algorithms for satellite LTE/NR.
• Develop optimized signal processing for resource-constrained CPUs.
• Model and simulate system performance including modem performance.
• Design, implement, test, and document PHY and MAC layers of the protocol stack.
• Identify and debug performance issues across PHY and MAC layers.
• Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to design for next-gen hardware.
