Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking a rolling operator to set up and run square and shape wire machinery on site in Wallingford, CT. The role pays $27.50/hr with training on first shift and a move to second shift (2pm–10pm).

You’ll perform quality checks, train peers, and operate cranes while maintaining safety and accurate records. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or combined education/experience.
• Experience with wire drawing or annealing preferred but not required.
• Willingness to work weekends/holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate square wire and shape wire machinery.
• Perform quality checks and record results using measuring devices.
• Train other operators when needed and ensure team efficiency.
• Operate overhead cranes and manage multiple machines concurrently.
