Job summary

BH Electronics, a division of Patrick Industries, is hiring a Process Engineer for its Summerville, SC location. You will develop, implement, and optimize wire harness manufacturing processes to boost efficiency, quality, and throughput.

Collaborate with production, quality, and design teams, map processes, conduct root-cause analysis, and document SOPs. You will train staff and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in process engineering, preferably in wire harness or related manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control techniques, and lean manufacturing principles.
• Proficient in using CAD software and process simulation tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize wire harness manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
• Conduct process mapping and analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and design teams to ensure that processes meet specifications and customer requirements.
• Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting of manufacturing issues to minimize downtime and defects.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, SOPs, and process flow charts.
• Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and recommend process enhancements.
• Participate in product development and design reviews to provide input on manufacturability and process capabilities.
• Train and support production staff on new processes, equipment, and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards throughout the manufacturing process.
