Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Wire Cutter in Richmond, VA to support warehouse operations and order fulfillment. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and productivity while handling material equipment to deliver correct wire cuts for shipments.

Preferred candidates have a high school diploma or GED and experience in wire-cutting or warehouse environments, plus ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks and complete OSHA training. Shift is 8 AM–5 PM with potential temp-to-perm growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One or more years of wire-cutting experience preferred; prior warehouse or distribution center experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment preferred.
• Ability to complete required OSHA safety training for applicable equipment and communicate effectively with coworkers and customers.
• Basic computer skills and strong organization/time-management skills to meet deadlines and maintain cutting standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and Environmental Health and Safety rules to help maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform daily equipment and machine checks, and immediately report safety concerns or damage to equipment.
• Operate material-handling equipment and powered industrial truck (PIT) equipment safely to retrieve, stage, and process wire for customer orders.
• Accurately cut wire and cable to specification, inspect for conformance, and remove defective material to ensure shipment quality.
• Stage completed wire cuts in the correct shipping area and help ensure outbound shipments are accurate and free from damage.
