Alameda Electrical Distributors in Modesto, CA is hiring a full-time Wire Center Associate II to support our branch operations. You will safely operate material handling equipment, cut, label, and package wire per orders, and assist with inventory tasks while upholding safety and quality standards.

• Experience in a wire center, utility, electrical, and/or distribution environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Accurately cut, label, and package wire per customer orders.
• Load and unload materials; complete receiving documentation.
• Safely operate wire-cutting machines and related tools.
• Stage and store materials in designated areas.
• Conduct quality inspections on wire products.
• Assist with inventory tasks, including cycle counts and replenishment.
• Support process improvements and maintain a clean workspace.

As our Wire Center Associate II, here are some of the duties the position will be doing:

• Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Accurately cut, label, and package wire per customer orders
• Load and unload materials; complete receiving documentation
• Safely operate wire-cutting machines and related tools
• Stage and store materials in designated areas
• Conduct quality inspections on wire products
• Assist with inventory tasks, including cycle counts and replenishment
• Support process improvement and maintain a clean workspace
• Follow all company safety policies and promptly report any damage

• Previous experience in a wire center, utility, electrical, and/or distribution or production environment is preferred
• Ability to work independently with little supervision

• Ability to reach and stretch without personal injury
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
• Ability to work Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM
