Job summary

NEOTech in Chatsworth, GA is seeking a detail-oriented assembler for manual wire bond production of high-reliability microelectronic devices. You will read assembly instructions, use fine tools under a microscope, and perform pin bonds while ensuring strong bonds and defect-free results.

The role requires following ESD rules, working in a clean-room, and contributing to 6S and kaizen improvements. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with preference for experience in ISO9000/AS9100

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Experience or familiarity with ISO9000/AS9100 environments preferred.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English at an intermediate level.
  • Ability to work under a microscope with fine tools.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret assembly instructions, drawings and work procedures.
  • Perform pin bonds between substrate and case pins and verify bond strength.
  • Inspect devices for defects before and after assembly per prints and specs.
  • Adhere to ESD guidelines and 6S/kaizen objectives in daily work.
  • Operate in a clean-room environment wearing required PPE.

Job description

Summary:Operation of manual wire bond equipment in a clean-room environment, to manufacture high-reliability microelectronic devices.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Read and interpret assembly instructions, drawings and work instruction processes.Written tests for ESD + wirebond and ribbon bond requirements.Use tools such as fine tipped tweezers, dental probes, x-acto knives.Perform pin bonds between substrate and case pins.Use pf periodic machines certification for bond strengths.Inspect and know the difference between an acceptable epoxy placement, die attach assembly, sub attached assembly and wire bond and ribbon bonds on a hybrid in conformance with prints, drawings and or Mil std.Inspect - to the drawings/specs and procedures – the devices for defects before starting the assembly and after finishing his/her part of the assembly.Adhere to all ESD and other handling requirements.Comply with all in-house training as identified in job specific family and or specific training plan.Follow company 6S and continuous improvement (kaizen) objectives.Perform all other duties, as assigned.Job Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Abilities:Good vision (with correction, if needed) and the ability to work with fine tools under a microscope.Ability to work in a production environment wearing a smock, hairnet, face mask, and gloves, as required.Ability to read, write, and speak English at an intermediate level.Ability to work collaboratively with a team and be a good team member.Sense of urgency, successful in meeting company quality and production objectivesAbility to support a minimum of 2 customer products while maintaining quality and production standard requirements.Ability to work on multiple tasks using a wide range of procedures with a minimum low-level complexity.Ability to follow established procedures on routine workTypically requires little to no experienceExperience/Education:High School Diploma/GED or equivalentExperience using Windows operating systems including Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) preferredExperience working for an ISO9000 or AS9100 accredited organization preferred.Experience operating manufacturing equipment preferredBenefits Offered: Comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental and vision coverage; company-paid basic life/AD&D insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance; voluntary supplemental insurances, flexible spending accounts and employee assistance program (EAP).
