Job summary

Beverly Public Schools in Beverly, MA, is seeking a seasonal athletic coach to oversee the assigned sport program. You will direct practices, coach athletes, organize competitions, manage equipment and records, and ensure safety and sportsmanship in alignment with district and MIAA rules.

The role reports to the Athletic Director, emphasizes student-athlete development and academic achievement, and involves collaboration with families, staff, and officials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• MIAA Coaching Education certification required or ability to obtain within required timelines.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or required based on district expectations.

Responsibilities

• Directly responsible to the Athletic Director for the overall operation and management of the assigned athletic program.
• Coach individual participants and teams in the skills necessary for achievement and success in the assigned sport.
• Plan, organize, and supervise all practices, competitions, team activities, and coaching staff responsibilities.
• Supervise student-athletes during practices, contests, travel, and related activities.
• Maintain accurate records including squad lists, injury reports, game results, incident reports, equipment inventories, and physical examination records.
• Enforce discipline and appropriate conduct consistent with school and athletic department expectations.
