Job summary

Burlington Township Board of Education is seeking a dedicated Winter Cheerleading Head Coach for Burlington Township High School. Lead practices, develop strategies, and mentor student-athletes in a positive, inclusive environment.

Requires valid NJDOE or NJ Substitute Teacher Certification, CPR/AED, and high school coaching experience. Availability for after‑school hours and adherence to district policies are essential.

Qualifications

• NJ DOE certification or NJ substitute certificate required.
• CPR/AED certification required.
• Coaching experience at high school level preferred.
• Strong leadership and motivational skills.
• Excellent communication with athletes, parents, and staff.
• Must meet NJ residency and background check requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct practices and develop game strategies.
• Develop fundamental skills and game plans for players and groups.
• Create practice plans, drills, and conditioning programs.
• Mentor student-athletes and promote sportsmanship and teamwork.
• Attend all practices, games, and events as required.
• Assist in scouting opponents and analyzing game film.
• Uphold district and team policies and regulations.
• Foster positive relationships with players, families, and staff.
• Maintain attendance and performance records as requested.
