Job summary

The Eugene School District 4J is seeking an Assistant Coach for the winter sports season. Under direction, you will assist in planning, development, and implementation of policies and procedures for interscholastic athletics and help the head coach organize and run the program to meet district needs.

The role requires knowledge of sport basics, adherence to state and district rules, and the ability to work with diverse students.

Qualifications

• HS Cheer coaching experience and knowledge of interscholastic athletics rules.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• First Aid/CPR certification and concussion awareness preferred.
• OSAA coaching training and district background check required.
• Preference for TSPC license and Oregon driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, development, and implementation of athletic program policies and procedures.
• Support head coach in organizing and conducting athletic programs to meet district needs.
• Maintain compliance with state, district, OSAA, NFHS rules and regulations.
• Demonstrate professional conduct and protect student confidentiality (HIPAA/FERPA).
