Job summary

The Wine Group in Ripon, California is seeking a Lab Technician to perform analytical analyses, quality assessments, and support sanitation validation. You will work across instruments and teams to ensure the quality of wines and processes, with a focus on accuracy and safety.

This full-time temporary role offers exposure to GCs, HPLCs, spectrophotometers, and data systems, and requires flexibility for day, swing, or graveyard shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 or older.
• Demonstrated reliability and punctuality; work effectively in team, follow safety regulations.
• Able to work rotating shifts and overtime.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.
• Knowledge of good laboratory practices; accurate data recording.
• Ability to apply percentages, ratios, and proportions.
• Ability to write reports and correspondence.
• Computer skills include MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine analysis at all stages of the winemaking process; operate lab instruments.
• Carry out sanitation validation and auditorial checks where applicable.
• Capture complete, accurate data and communicate results clearly.
• Support data management and basic statistics; use AS400, WMS, VA systems.
• Participate in safety programs and follow lab procedures.
• Monitor and troubleshoot lab equipment and instrumentation.
• Assist in process improvement and quality assurance activities.
