Job summary

C Spire is seeking a System Admin to help design, build, and operate Windows-based systems across cloud and data-center environments. The role covers identity, endpoint, productivity, and virtualization stacks, with Azure foundations for AI workloads.

You will progress through Levels I–IV, developing automation, on-call readiness, and cross-team collaboration. The position emphasizes security, availability, and mentoring while using PowerShell, DSC, Ansible, and Python in various capacities.

Qualifications

• Hands-on administration experience with Windows Server, AD and Azure services.
• Experience with virtualization and endpoint/cloud environments.
• Familiarity with backup, DR, and high availability concepts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest in using AI tools in engineering work and security considerations.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate Windows systems across data centers and cloud.
• Administer server, identity, endpoint, productivity, and cloud environments.
• Install, patch, monitor, troubleshoot, and document actions.
• Identify risks, investigate incidents, and drive fixes at senior levels.
• Build Windows and Azure foundations for AI workloads with proper controls.
• Develop and apply deployment and automation standards using PowerShell, DSC, Ansible; Python in senior roles.
• Use AI-assisted tools with team review and validation.
• Design for high availability, backup, and disaster recovery with security practices.
• Collaborate with analysts, product teams, vendors to deliver services.
• Grow technical ownership and mentor engineers across levels II–IV.
