Job summary

The Josef Group seeks a senior System Administrator to manage Windows Server environments, AD, and Group Policy, with hands-on Linux experience and VMware expertise. You will support Broadcom virtualization stacks, vCenter, and NetApp storage, while maintaining network and security hygiene across systems.

Strong communication, problem solving, and customer service are essential as you collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet RMF security requirements and operational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or 20 years of system admin experience.
• Experience with Windows Server Administration, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• Familiarity with Linux Server Administration.
• Familiarity with Broadcom VMware/ESXi, Broadcom VMWare Virtual Networking, and Broadcom VMware vCenter.
• Networking Switching and Router Management.
• Storage Management (NetApp).
• Hardware and OS troubleshooting.
• Security Compliance Scanning (Nessus, ACAS).
• Understanding of RMF project design requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments including AD and GPO.
• Lead system administration tasks across Linux servers and virtualization platforms.
• Configure and manage VMware ESXi hosts, vCenter, and related networking layers.
• Monitor security posture using Nessus/ACAS and ensure RMF compliance.
• Provide technical support with strong communication and problem solving.

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 15 years’ experience as a System Administrator, OR High school diploma and 20 years’ experience as a System Administrator

Experience with Windows Sever Administration, Active Directory, and Group Policy

Familiarity with Linux Server Administration

Familiarity with Broadcom VMware/ESXi, Broadcom VMWare Virtual Networking, and Broadcom VMware vCenter

Networking Switching and Router Management

Storage Management (NetApp)

Hardware and Operating System troubleshooting

Security Compliance Scanning (Nessus, ACAS)

Understanding of project design within the scope of security (RMF) requirements

Ability to demonstrate cyber/IT related experience with attention to detail, customer service, oral and written communication, and problem solving.

Preferred:

Experience leading the implementation and support of Broadcom VMware virtualized systems and infrastructure

Broadcom VMware Aria Suite, formerly called vRealize Suite
