Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a Windows Server OS Administrator to join our McLean, VA team. This remote‑eligible full‑time role focuses on Windows Server environments, hybrid cloud, and security hardening across on‑prem and cloud platforms.

You will implement, monitor, and optimize server infrastructure, support Azure migrations, and contribute to DevSecOps practices in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent communication and collaboration are required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to script in PowerShell and automate tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Strong time management in a fast‑paced environment.
• Collaborative approach within cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and configure Windows Server OS and apps per standards.
• Manage file systems, volumes, performance, and capacity monitoring.
• Support on‑prem VMware workloads and cloud transition planning (Azure).
• Assist with hybrid AD, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy configuration.
• Harden systems per client cybersecurity policies and audit readiness.
• Provide 24x7 remote support and incident resolution.
