Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking a detail-oriented Windows QA Engineer to join a US-based team, focusing on reliability, performance, and usability of Windows IT systems. You will design, develop, and execute test plans for Windows applications and OS deployments, validate packages, upgrades, and configurations, and document defects clearly for cross-team resolution.

Qualifications

• 3–6+ years of experience in QA Engineering with Windows focus.
• Hands-on OS deployment image building for Windows 10/11 and Windows Server.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune or similar endpoint management.
• Strong software packaging, installation, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with virtual machines and virtualization platforms.
• Practical Hyper-V installation, configuration, and support.
• Background in IT Helpdesk/Desktop Support.
• Understanding of file systems and permissions.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for Windows-based systems.
• Validate software packages, installations, upgrades, and configurations in Windows environments.
• Perform QA validation on endpoint management solutions including Intune deployments.
• Test and troubleshoot Windows OS deployments and task sequences across Windows 10/11/Server.
• Support and validate VM environments including provisioning, configuration, and testing.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Hyper-V environments and virtual machines.
• Validate file system operations, permissions, and enterprise file management processes.
• Perform regression, functional, and system testing across enterprise IT workflows.
• Document defects clearly and work with development to drive resolution.
• Support automation initiatives where applicable to improve QA efficiency.
