Job summary

Kelly in Spring, TX seeks an Industrial IT Server Engineer to design, implement, and optimize Windows-based virtual Process Control environments. You will work on-site in Spring, TX, supporting customers and participating in on-call rotations (12-hour day shifts for a week at a time).

Ideal candidates have Nutanix and VMware virtualization expertise, Dell hardware experience, SolarWinds monitoring, and AD administration, with strong collaboration skills for cybersecurity partners.

Qualifications

• Experience building, troubleshooting, patching and administering Windows and Linux servers.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support Windows and Linux virtual machines for performance, security, and availability.
• Configure and maintain VMware 7.0 environments and Nutanix deployments on Dell equipment.
• Provide technical support for Dell server hardware and related components.
• Perform performance monitoring with SolarWinds or similar tools and report findings.
• Administer Active Directory services, including users, groups, GPOs, DNS and access controls.
• Collaborate with internal teams and cybersecurity partners to resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain documentation for server configurations and procedures.
• Handle server projects and participate in on-call rotations.

• 2) Experience in current virtualization technology, specifically VMware 7.0 and Nutanix.


• 3) Basic proficiency in PowerShell or similar scripting and documentation.

Detailed job description:

Industrial IT Server Engineers design, implement, maintain, and optimize our Windows-based virtual Process Control (WPC) environments following ICSRv4 standards. Additionally, Engineers will be expected to work in the Spring, TX office and provide support to customers (including on-call rotations 12-hour shift during day for a week at a time). The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Nutanix and VMware virtualization, DELL server hardware, performance monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Active Directory administration, and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with both customers and cybersecurity partners.

Responsibilities:

• 1) Manage and support Windows and Linux virtual machines: insuring optimal performance, security, and availability.


• 2) Utilize VMware 7.0 for environment virtualization, configuring, and maintaining virtual infrastructure, as well as greenfield Nutanix installations in air-gapped environments on DELL equipment.


• 3) Provide technical support and troubleshooting for DELL server hardware


• 4) Perform performance monitoring, analysis, and reporting using SolarWinds and/or similar tools


• 5) Administer and maintain Active Directory services, including user/group management, GPO, DNS and access controls.


• 6) Collaborate with internal business units and cybersecurity partners to address technical issues and implement solutions.


• 7) Develop and maintain documentation for server configurations, procedures, and “best practices".


• 8) Server project work, on-call rotation, troubleshooting remote servers

Not required but a plus:

• ICSRv4 knowledge and/or experience


• SolarWinds knowledge and/or experience


• Familiarity with Agile principals


• Proficiency in Windows Server Administration including but not limited to AD, DNS, GPO, etc. Familiarity with Agile Principals, SolarWinds or like monitoring tools, ServiceNow or like ticketing systems, PowerShell or like scripting tools, Dell Hardware, VMware, Nutanix, and ICSRv4 requirements.
