Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Windows Engineer to support a federal IT infrastructure in Washington, DC, on-site. The role designs, implements, and maintains enterprise Windows environments with a strong focus on MECM, Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization.

Responsibilities include deploying and maintaining Windows Server ecosystems, managing MECM for software deployment and patch management, administering AD and GPOs, and automating tasks with PowerShell to improve

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience administering enterprise Windows environments.
• Hands-on MECM, Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, and virtualization experience.
• Strong PowerShell scripting, automation, patch management, and security practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Windows Server infrastructure, workstations, and enterprise applications.
• Administer and optimize MECM environments for software deployment, patch management, and endpoint compliance.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, user permissions, and enterprise access controls.
• Automate administrative and operational processes using PowerShell and other scripting languages.
• Monitor system performance, remediate vulnerabilities, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and support virtualization technologies.
