Job summary

84 Lumber Company is hiring a full-time Warehouse Associate in California to act as a material handler and forklift operator, building loads for deliveries while keeping a safe, organized warehouse.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading freight, operating a forklift with proper certification, notifying management of delays, and supporting store programs. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Must be able to periodically lift up to 80 pounds.
• Willingness to operate forklift and handle physical tasks in a warehouse setting.

Responsibilities

• Build loads for delivery and unload freight including lumber and building supplies.
• Forklift training, certification, and operation.
• Communicate delays or discrepancies with management.
• Maintain the store’s special order program and other sales programs as assigned.
