Job summary

84 Lumber Company is seeking a Window Service Technician to install and maintain windows on construction sites as part of a full-time role. You will perform window and screen installation, balancing, glass/sash replacement, cleaning, reporting, and basic warehouse duties.

Ideal candidates bring ability to read and follow instructions, lift up to 80 pounds, solve problems, and hold a valid driver's license. GED or HS diploma preferred; training provided.

Qualifications

• Reads and comprehends simple instructions and documents, writes short correspondence, presents information one-on-one.
• Ability to periodically lift up to 80 pounds.
• Ability to handle problems with a few concrete variables and standardized situations.
• Requires a high school diploma or GED or related experience/training.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Install and perform maintenance on windows at construction sites, including screen installation.
• Balance windows and replace glass and/or sashes.
• Clean windows at completion of install.
• Write routine reports and correspondence for a small group.
• Support warehouse duties: stocking inventory and loading/unloading semi-trailers.

The Window Service Technician acts as a window and screen installer and a maintenance technician. This full-time, hourly position is responsible for installing and performing maintenance on windows at construction sites. This includes but is not limited to:

• Screen installation.
• Balancing windows.
• Replacing glass and/or sashes.
• Cleaning windows at completion of install.
• Writing routine reports and correspondence to present to a small group.
• Warehouse duties include stocking inventory and loading/unloading semi-trailers.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and documents (i.e. policy and procedure manuals), write short correspondence and memos, and effectively present information to others one-on-one
• Ability to periodically lifting up to 80 pounds
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables and standardized situations.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training
• Requires a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
