Job summary

Holmes Lumber (a division of Carter Lumber) is seeking a Window & Door Service Technician to install windows and doors on new construction projects. The role requires strong knowledge of windows/doors, building materials, and a commitment to customer service.

You will analyze jobsites, perform warranty repairs, test product performance, and maintain a safe work environment on-site while adhering to company standards and codes.

Qualifications

• Previous experience installing and repairing windows and doors is helpful, but not required.
• Strong knowledge of building materials and tools.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work under time constraints.
• Strong math skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems.
• Ability to climb ladders up to 32'.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes jobsite prior to beginning a job to ensure quality installation/repairs.
• Repairs assigned warranty products using the appropriate tools.
• Conducts window and/or door performance tests.
• Create and supports a safe work environment on the job site to protect the interest of the company at all times.
• Ensures that customers are treated with the utmost respect and given the highest quality of workmanship.
• This is accomplished through timely completion of the job and attention to detail.
• Responsible for acquiring the training needed to repair the product safely and efficiently.
• Responsible for becoming certified in the product/area that is being repaired to ensure best service.

A Holmes Lumber (a division of Carter Lumber) Window & Door Service Technician will install windows and doors in new construction projects. Knowledge of windows and doors including installation will be vital in this position’s success as well as, a strong commitment to customer service.
