Kempsville Building Materials(a division ofCarter Lumber) is seeking a Window & Door Service Technician to perform warranty repairs on windows and doors. Knowledge of window installation is vital, and a strong commitment to customer service is required.

Responsibilities include analyzing jobsites, performing tests, and maintaining safety and high workmanship standards while adhering to company policies and codes of conduct.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and repairing windows and doors.
• Strong knowledge of building materials and tools.
• Ability to work under time constraints.
• Strong math skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes jobsite prior to beginning a job to ensure quality repairs can be done.
• Repairs assigned warranty products using appropriate tools.
• Conducts window and/or door performance tests.
• Creates and supports a safe work environment on the job site to protect the interest of the company at all times.
• Ensures that customers are treated with respect and workmanship quality.
• Completes tasks timely with attention to detail and follows code of conduct.
• Obtains training to repair the product safely and efficiently.
• Becomes certified in the product/area being repaired to ensure best service.

Knowledge of windowsincluding installation will be vital in this position’s success as well as, a strong commitment to customer service. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company are necessary to this position.

Requirements

• Previous experience installing and repairing windows and doors
• Strong knowledge of building materials and tools
• Possess a strong work ethic and the ability to work under time constraints

• Ability to analyze and solve problems

• Responsible for becoming certified in the product/area that is being repaired to ensure that we are providing the best service to our customers.
