Job summary

Nidec in the United States is seeking a Winding Technician to ensure a proficient flow of product with quality and safety at the forefront every day; you will wind and store fibrous material.

You will inspect and test windings to ensure standards, dismantle damaged equipment, prepare reusable parts, observe insulation requirements, and perform daily line maintenance while collaborating with a team to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Must work well in a team environment.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated to work independently with high regards to quality of product.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, document and communicate all findings during the rewind process.
• Test condition of winding according to EASA standards.
• Dismantle and/or strip damaged or unserviceable equipment.
• Prepare all reusable parts for rewind and inspect renewed parts for hidden, structural damage or unusual conditions.
• Observe proper insulating techniques and/or requirements during rewinding.
• Administer required daily maintenance on assigned lines.
• Identify and solve problems in fabrication process without compromising quality of product.
