Job summary

Pacer Group is seeking a Senior Windchill System Consultant in Stamford, CT for a hybrid Contract role. You will drive high-level Windchill architecture, upgrades, and enterprise integrations across CAD, ERP, MES, CPQ, and CPQ platforms, with a focus on performance and interoperability.

The role requires expertise in Windchill architecture, upgrades, and system customization, along with governance and mentorship responsibilities.

Qualifications

• PTC Windchill architecture experience (PDMLink, ProjectLink, PartsLink).
• Enterprise CAD integrations & CAD Worker setup (Creo, Office Worker).
• SSO & SSL system configuration, vault configurations & cluster setups.
• Windchill upgrade planning, rehearsals, runbook preparation & WinDU analysis.
• Java/J2EE, SQL, Spring, Hibernate & Windchill customization.

Responsibilities

• Define high-level and detailed Windchill system architectures, managing vault configurations, cluster setups, CAD worker configurations (Creo, Office Worker), and SSO/SSL implementations.
• Plan and execute end-to-end Windchill upgrades, conduct rehearsals, perform WinDU analysis/issue resolution, and author production runbooks.
• Lead customization and integration of Windchill with SAP ECC/S4 ERP, MES, CPQ, and CAD platforms using ESI and Windchill Bulk Migration tools.
• Oversee end-to-end project deployment, including object modeling, workflow design, testing, performance tuning, and cross-functional risk management.
• Provide technical governance and mentorship to junior developers with comprehensive documentation.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Enterprise Applications Delivery Leadership within the Information Technology department, the Senior Windchill System Consultant will drive the high-level architecture, upgrade execution, and enterprise integration of the PTC Windchill environment. The incumbent will solve complex product lifecycle management challenges, ensure seamless interoperability across CAD, ERP (SAP ECC/S4), MES, and CPQ platforms, and execute mission-critical system upgrades and performance optimizations.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Define high-level and detailed Windchill system architectures, managing vault configurations, cluster setups, CAD worker configurations (Creo, Office Worker), and SSO/SSL implementations.
• Plan and execute end-to-end Windchill upgrades, conducting lower-environment rehearsals, executing WinDU analysis/issue resolution, and authoring detailed production runbooks.
• Lead the customization and integration of Windchill with enterprise systems including SAP ECC/S4 ERP, MES, CPQ, and CAD platforms utilizing ESI and Windchill Bulk Migration tools.
• Oversee end-to-end project deployment, including object modeling, workflow design, testing, performance tuning, and cross-functional risk management.
• Provide technical governance and mentorship to junior developers while maintaining comprehensive system architecture and customization documentation.
