Operating System: Linux (service operations, file management, troubleshooting, log review).
CICD and Release Tooling: Jenkins pipelines, Jira for work items, defects, and release tracking.
Regulated Operations: Production change controls, release documentation, and operational validation aligned to MedTech quality and compliance expectations.
Major Duties
- Perform deployment activities requiring full Windchill administrative access, including configuration updates, application lifecycle operations, and environment validation.
- Prepare environments for releases, validate deployment readiness, and perform post-deployment verification activities.
- Participate in Agile scrum ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement) to align deployment work with sprint commitments.
- Manage and execute deployment-related work items, defects, and release tasks in Jira.
- Perform hands‑on Linux‑based deployment and administration activities, including file management, service operations, and troubleshooting where needed.
- Monitor deployments for issues and take corrective action within defined authority, escalating when appropriate.
- Support rollback execution and production issue resolution related to deployments.
- Ensure compliance with documented deployment methodologies, release controls, and change management standards.
- Maintain and improve deployment documentation, runbooks, and operational checklists.
- Proactively identify deployment risks, inefficiencies, or gaps and recommend improvements.
Success Criteria (First 30/90 Days)
- Independently execute end‑to‑end deployments to Dev, QA, and Production following documented change and release controls (including pre‑checks, implementation, verification, and evidence capture).
- Demonstrate consistent, repeatable deployment outcomes by reducing avoidable deployment defects through strong validation and checklist discipline.
- Own and improve at least one runbook/operational checklist (clarify steps, add rollback guidance, and align with audit/compliance expectations).
- Establish a trusted working rhythm with Scrum/Kanban teams and release stakeholders by providing clear status, risks, and go‑no‑go readiness updates aligned to sprint and change windows.
