Job summary

Vestas is hiring a Wind Site Technician II to ensure reliable wind turbine operation, perform maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and address system faults. The role supports safe, efficient performance for local communities and involves working across electrical, mechanical, and heavy machinery domains.

Ideal candidates have wind technician experience or related mechanical/electrical backgrounds, are English-proficient, and hold a high school diploma with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • 6 months with a Wind Technician certificate, or 1 year of wind turbine experience, or 2 years in mechanical or electrical fields.
  • Able to read and follow instructions in English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair wind turbines with the team to keep communities powered.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and perform safety inspections.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve turbine performance and share best practices.
  • Document work and improve operational processes.
  • Accurately time code all work activities for tracking duration, progress, and efficiency.
