Job summary

USS Wind LLC, a division of CSS Industrial Group, seeks Level 3 Blade Repair Technicians to lead field teams, perform inspections and repairs on wind turbine blades, and document results for projects across the U.S.

This travel-intensive, project-based role requires strong technical skills, adherence to safety protocols, and clear communication with Operations and Engineering teams. Overtime, travel accommodations, and per diem are provided, along with opportunities for further certifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect blade damage and document findings with photos and reports
• Perform coating and structural repairs on blades per engineering guidance
• Work at heights up to 300 ft using platform systems
• Submit service reports and DWR via mobile systems
• Coordinate repair documentation with Operations and Engineering
• Communicate site progress and issues with internal teams and clients
• Support LOTO procedures on wind turbine generators
• Assist with site setup and coordination of labour and materials
• Perform rigging and de-rigging tasks as required
• Follow safety procedures and participate in hazard assessments

About the Role

USS Wind LLC, a division of the CSS Industrial Group of Companies, provides advanced wind turbine services both in the U.S. and internationally in collaboration with industry leaders. We are currently looking for experienced Level 3 Blade Repair Technicians to conduct advanced inspections and perform repairs categorized from 1 to 5, while also leading field teams on active projects.

This is a travel-intensive, project-based position that requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and document internal and external blade damage, including photographic evidence and detailed reporting
• Perform coating and structural repairs on blades, including leading/trailing edges, tips, and internal components, following engineering guidelines
• Work at heights (up to 300 ft) using platform systems
• Complete and submit accurate service reports and Daily Work Reports (DWR) using mobile systems
• Review and submit repair documentation to Operations and Engineering teams
• Communicate site progress and issues with internal teams and clients
• Support Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures on wind turbine generators
• Assist with site setup, including coordination of labour and materials
• Perform rigging and de-rigging tasks as required
• Follow all safety procedures and participate in hazard assessments and safety meetings

About You

Required Certifications

Experience & Skills

• Experience in blade repair, composites, or similar mechanical work
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions
• Team player with excellent communication skills

Additional Requirements

• Valid driver’s licence with a satisfactory record
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to travel extensively across the U.S.
• Physically capable of performing job duties
