Job summary

Vestas is seeking a Wind Technician II at Otter Creek - Ransom, IL to ensure reliable wind turbine operation through hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting. You will join a safety-focused team and contribute to performance improvements across turbines in the field.

A strong preference is given to those with wind tech certs or relevant mechanical/electrical experience. The role offers full-time employment in a hands-on field environment with comprehensive training, PPE, and growth

Qualifications

• Wind Technician certificate or wind turbine experience required.
• 1 year wind turbine experience or 2 years in mechanical/electrical fields.
• High school diploma or equivalent and valid driver’s license; ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair wind turbines with the team to keep communities powered.
• Adhere to safety protocols and perform safety inspections.
• Collaborate with teammates to improve turbine performance and share best practices.
• Document work and track task duration and progress.
• Meet reporting requirements and accurately time code all activities.
