Job summary

Nordex Group is seeking a Plant Quality Technician to support the Production Quality Assurance (PQA) team in ensuring incoming goods, in-process, and final products meet established quality standards. You will inspect, audit, analyze, and coordinate corrective actions to prevent recurrence of quality issues across the wind turbine production line.

You will work closely with production and global teams, document results, and drive continuous improvement while upholding safety and industry

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Bachelor’s degree in quality or technical field preferred.
3 years of professional experience in quality control in the manufacturing industry.
2 years of professional experience in quality control in wind turbine manufacturing preferred.
Solid knowledge of quality inspection techniques and quality standards.
Understanding of electrical or mechanical systems and components.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP QM.
Experience in opening and following up on non-conformities related to the production line.
Responsible, structured, and independent work approach.
High level of attention to detail and ability to identify non-conformities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively with different departments.
Strong work ethic and dedication to completing tasks.
Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong leadership skills.
Ability to handle changing challenges and adapt to new situations.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to read and interpret electrical or mechanical schematics.
ISO 9000:2000 Quality System is a plus.

Responsibilities

Conduct incoming, in-process, and End-of-Line inspections to verify quality and compliance.
Monitor production processes to identify quality deviations and support timely resolutions.
Open, document, and follow up on non-conformities and corrective actions.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and actions.
Support root cause analysis with internal stakeholders and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Identify and drive continuous improvement with production and engineering.
Collaborate with suppliers to address material quality issues.
Participate in internal and external audits.
Operate and interpret measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
Provide quality training support to production teams.
