SCOPE OF AUTHORITY:

No Direct Reports or Budgetary Responsibilities, but will train and assist other team members.

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Under the minimal direction of the Supervisor, plans and tests new beta releases, directs employees of software enhancements, supports release of software releases, notifies software developers of any bugs in the system, develops new processes, represents department in standards meetings and process development, assist in the development of WIM standards, lead WIM documentation creation and updates while ensuring the timely delivery of the department deliverables and to attend as well as participate in team/program meetings. Train internal and external WIM documentation users to solve internal and external department issues. Act as a mentor to WIM designer 2's and 3's, ensuring quality on all deliverables and support customer interaction.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide internal/external WIM user training.
• Able to provide an advanced level of support in WIM meetings.
• Create and maintain weld documentation and weld drawing revision columns to latest available product for a specific vehicle sub system.
• Provide an advanced level of support in the WIM file creation process.
• Develop WIM file process efficiencies such as Tips and Techniques.
• Develop WIM training materials.
• Investigate external documentation and file errors.
• Support testing of WIM software upon release.
• Initiate, document and maintain WERS released WD file information for a specific vehicle sub system.
• Update and maintain the WIM file creation manual for all processes.
• Verify new software releases in lab environment to ensure functionality is not lost.
• Develop, support and maintain WIM program files.
• Assist and solve technical issues in WIM weld, sealer and Closure Hang files
• Suggests improvements to WIM software developers for enhanced performance.
• Assists in the development of and revisions to Process Flows, initiatives to improve quality, and cost reduction opportunities.
• Customer satisfaction survey participation.
• Monitor deliverables and ensure timely and quality delivery..
• All other duties as required or requested

QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM REQUIRED:

• Moderate knowledge of TDM's current CAD platform.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
• Moderate knowledge of WIM files and DCD standards and practices.
• Moderate knowledge of entire suite of Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience in Automotive Assembly Process
• Advanced level of knowledge of welding, welding devices and weld stations.
• Advanced knowledge of FIDES software.
• Moderate knowledge of WERS Concern process

PREFERRED:

• The minimum requirements; in addition to the listed items.
• Advanced knowledge of WIM files and DCD standards and practices.
• Advanced level of knowledge of WERS Concern process.
• Advanced knowledge of TDM's current CAD platform.
• 5 years directly related employment experience.
