Job summary

McCall Pest & Wildlife is seeking a Wildlife Technician to perform outdoor wildlife exclusion and removal services. You will travel within your community to protect homes and businesses, build relationships with customers, and meet safety standards while offering friendly, reliable service.

The role suits individuals who can work independently, lift up to 50 lbs, and hold a valid license. Training is provided and a company vehicle, cell phone, and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• No prior experience necessary!
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to work in the field independently and manage route-based assignments

Responsibilities

• Customer relationships: Build strong connections with internal and external customers.
• Wildlife services: Provide wildlife exclusion and removal at customer locations; set up exclusion traps, cut flashing, form hardware cloth to specifications; work safely on rooftops and use a safety harness when needed; perform basic repairs with tools, sheet metal, and screening; maintain knowledge of regulations.
• Service & sales: Follow a service schedule within your territory and educate customers on wildlife services; meet or exceed monthly sales goals.
• Collaboration: Partner with customer service, sales, and management to deliver exceptional service.
• Safety first: Prioritize safety in all aspects of work and with company equipment.

Your Responsibilities:

• Customer Relationships: Build strong connections with internal and external customers, creating “Customers for Life.”
• Wildlife Services: Provide wildlife exclusion services and animal removal at customer locations.
  • Set up exclusion traps, cut flashing, and form hardware cloth to specifications.
  • Work safely on rooftops and use a safety harness when needed.
  • Perform basic repairs in areas damaged by animals using tools, sheet metal, and screening.
  • Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations regarding wildlife exclusion and removal.
• Service & Sales: Follow a service schedule within your assigned territory, ensuring safe and timely visits. Educate customers on wildlife services, and work to meet or exceed monthly sales goals.
• Collaboration: Partner with internal teams such as customer service, sales, and management to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Safety First: Prioritize safety in all aspects of your work, including handling company equipment and vehicles.

Physical Demands / Working Environment:

Candidates must meet physical job requirements and safely perform the job duties with or without accommodations:

• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer's weight capacity
• Must be able to safely operate a company vehicle for extended periods. Travel may include short stops or longer routes between counties or service areas.
• Able to lift and move ladders larger than 32 foot, and climb 60 feet
• Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, roof tops, etc.
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
