Responsibilities

As a Wildlife Exclusion/Repair Service Technician at Critter Control, you perform hands‑on exclusion, repair, and remediation services for residential and commercial properties. You identify entry points, complete structural repairs, and implement humane wildlife prevention solutions while following safety, technical, and quality guidelines.

What Does a Day in the Life Look Like?
  • Perform interior and exterior property inspections, including roofs, attics, crawlspaces, and other confined spaces, to identify wildlife entry points and potential vulnerabilities.
  • Install preventative exclusion materials such as screens, chimney caps, vent covers, and other barriers to prevent wildlife access.
  • Complete minor repairs to roofs, siding, foundations, and other structural areas where wildlife may gain entry.
  • Safely remove wildlife using humane trapping and relocation techniques in accordance with company standards and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services performed, materials used, and customer interactions.
  • Provide clear, detailed reports and review completed scopes of work with customers.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure a seamless and positive customer experience.
  • Follow up with customers to confirm satisfaction and address any additional concerns or recommendations.

  • Competitive hourly rate + production commission (Hourly Range: $17 - $19)
  • Estimated Hourly + Commission: $20-$25 an hour - Estimated annual earnings: $45,000 - $60,000.

What does the work environment look like?

We go where the wildlife goes! Candidates must be physically capable of safely performing the following job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Must be able to drive to various locations, often covering large territories.
  • Frequent walking, standing, and moving through diverse types of terrain, including uneven ground, stairs, roofs, and sometimes slippery or muddy areas.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, snow, etc.).
  • Must have the ability to climb stairs and ladders safely.
  • Must be able to crouch, kneel, bend, and stretch frequently.
  • Capability to carry and use equipment necessary for inspections and minor control measures (Traps, ladders, inspection tools, etc).
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Clear verbal communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
