Job summary

Rolling Hills Zoo in Salina, KS, is seeking a Part-Time Educator passionate about wildlife, conservation and inspiring others to care for our natural world. You’ll help create engaging learning experiences for guests, school groups and community organizations.

As part of the Education Team, you’ll lead education programs on- and off-site, work with children and adults, and collaborate with staff and volunteers to deliver positive, inclusive experiences, while introducing guests to Animal

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED (or currently pursuing)
Enjoys working with people of all ages and abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers
Comfortable speaking in front of groups and engaging with an audience
Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Canva or similar tools
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed
Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

Create fun, engaging learning experiences for zoo guests, school groups and community organizations.
Assist with education programs on- and off-site.
Work with groups of children and adults and collaborate with staff and volunteers to create positive, inclusive experiences.
Hands-on with Animal Ambassadors, introducing guests to animals while sharing conservation messages.
