Job summary

AlphaGraphics West Houston is seeking an experienced Wide Format & Sign Production Lead to help lead and grow our wide format department. This is a hands-on production leadership role for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and helping a team succeed.

Own the daily workflow and production priorities, train staff, and ensure deadlines are met while maintaining quality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in wide format printing, sign production, graphics production, or a related industry.
• Strong working knowledge of wide format digital printing and finishing processes.
• Experience operating equipment such as roll-to-roll printers, UV flatbed printers, laminators, vinyl cutters, routers.
• Experience with vinyl application, mounting, laminating, trimming, weeding, masking, and sign assembly.

Responsibilities

• Own the daily workflow and production priorities of the wide format department.
• Produce and finish a variety of wide format products including signs, banners, graphics, decals, and custom applications.
• Prioritize work to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
• Perform quality control before jobs leave the department.
• Communicate capacity constraints, material shortages, equipment issues, and production concerns early.
• Train and support team members on equipment, materials, and production standards.
• Maintain equipment and perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Help improve processes, reduce waste, and increase department efficiency.
