The SDSU Research Foundation WIC Program in San Diego is seeking a part-time Warehouse Support to assist in deliveries, inventory management, and light equipment tasks. Work hours range from 12-16 per week, in 3–4 hour shifts, Monday–Friday, between 9am–4pm.

Pay is $19–$20 per hour. Under the Associate Director's direction, you will handle pickups, warehouse organization, and meeting room setup, contributing to a fast-paced team serving WIC sites county-wide.

Qualifikationen

• Knowledge of the common terminology, methods, practices, tools and procedures related to basic building maintenance and repair
• Knowledge of the policies and procedures of the California WIC program as it pertains to document retention
• Ability to perform a variety of repair tasks, operate tools, equipment and systems
• Ability to follow standard written instructions and procedures
• Ability to assemble, install and repair equipment and furniture
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to provide proof of valid California Driver’s License and current insurance coverage
• Ability to drive throughout San Diego County and to WIC Offices
• Ability to maintain inventory of WIC equipment
• Ability to track retention dates and schedule shredding of confidential documentation
• Ability to interact and communicate clearly and effectively in a professional manner, both orally and in writing
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of participant, employee and agency records and documents
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and to work with a multi-cultural staff and participant population
• Ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures
• Ability to arrive to work on time, understand and follow posted work rules and procedures

Aufgaben

• Deliveries 50%: Provides pickup and delivery of supplies, interoffice mail, breast pumps, WIC Cards and document boxes for WIC locations.
• Warehouse, Equipment and Inventory Support 25%: Oversees warehouse organization of equipment, nutrition education, breastfeeding and outreach materials; assists with inventory tracking and light documentation; provides copies of materials for audit files; prepares mass mailings.
• Equipment Assembly and Maintenance 20%: Assembles lightweight furniture, assists with cleaning breast pumps, sets up meeting rooms, and handles light vehicle maintenance tasks.
• Other Duties and Responsibilities as Assigned 5%: Participates in staff meetings and trainings as needed.
