The WIC Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a WIC clinic site, ensuring that services are delivered in accordance with WIC program guidelines, and providing leadership and supervision to the WIC staff. The Site Supervisor will ensure the efficient delivery of services to eligible participants, maintain compliance with federal and state regulations, and foster a positive, client-centered environment. This position also plays a key role in staff training, performance management, and program development. This position is grant funded. Continued employment is contingent upon renewed grant funding.
Staff Supervision and Leadership:
o Supervise and provide direct leadership to WIC staff, including nutritionists, generalists, and nutrition educators.
o Monitor staff performance, provide ongoing feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
o Ensure staff are trained on current WIC policies, procedures, and compliance standards, including customer service and client confidentiality.
o Schedule staff to ensure appropriate coverage for clinic operations and address any staffing issues or conflicts that arise.
Program Administration and Compliance:
o Ensure that WIC services are delivered in compliance with federal, state, and local program guidelines and regulations.
o Oversee the intake process, eligibility determination, benefit issuance, and participant follow-up, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
o Maintain up-to-date knowledge of WIC policies, changes in federal and state regulations, and program updates.
o Conduct regular audits and reviews of client records, documentation, and data entry to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Client Services and Quality Assurance:
o Ensure high-quality service delivery to WIC participants, addressing concerns, complaints, and needs in a professional and empathetic manner.
o Monitor participant satisfaction and work with staff to resolve any issues that may arise during service delivery.
Program Outreach and Community Engagement:
o Assist in planning and implementing outreach efforts to increase program visibility and enrollment
o Coordinate with local healthcare providers, community organizations, and other stakeholders to promote WIC services and encourage participation
o Represent the WIC program at local community events, health fairs, and other outreach initiatives
Administrative and Operational Oversight:
o Oversee the day-to-day operations of the clinic, including managing office supplies, equipment, and client scheduling
o Ensure that clinic facilities are clean, safe, and meet all regulatory standards. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of clinic services
o Prepare reports on clinic operations, staff performance, and program outcomes as requested by the WIC Program Director
Collaboration and Communication:
o Collaborate with other WIC site supervisors, program managers, and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care for participants
o Foster a positive and collaborative team environment that promotes staff development, open communication, and client-centered care
o Participate in regular meetings with WIC program leadership to discuss clinic performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement
Confidentiality and Program Compliance:
o Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to all WIC program policies, guidelines, and ethical standards
o Document interactions and outcomes in compliance with WIC regulations and state/federal standards
o Adhere to organization’s policy regarding absenteeism and appearance
Other

Education:
o Master’s degree in Nutrition, Public Health or related field with 2 years WIC experience OR Registered Dietitian with 1 year WIC experience
o Approval from NJ State WIC Office required
Experience:
o Previous experience working with culturally diverse backgrounds is highly preferred
o Knowledge of current nutrition guidelines, public health nutrition practices, and maternal-child health
o Previous health management experience (preferred, but not required)
Skills:
o Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to mote and develop a team
o Knowledge of WIC program policies, procedures, and federal/state regulations.
o Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities
o Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with staff, participants, and community partners
o Basic computer skills
o Valid driver's license and auto insurance
o Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required
Occasional travel for outreach and program activities may be required along with equipment transportation
In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the total compensation range for this position is USD $40,000.00 to USD $80,000.00. When determining an offer, VNA Health Group considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's work experience, education/training, relevant skills, internal pay equity, and market and organizational conditions. The total compensation range reflects the total package, including base salary, overtime, bonuses, add-on incentives, special clinical compensation, retirement plans, and all other benefits.
